Well, the course is just about over and I have learned so much. I now know where I can begin my search for classroom tools--even if it is the just a hint of what is out on the web! I can't wait to start preparing for next year's class using the tools that I have learned! Great class!

Well, I am almost done with the course. I have learned so much!
I still need to complete module 8 and the final project. I am really
looking forward to looking at all the e-learning sites and finding
some I can use for my kinder classes!

Photostream story

I just finished writing a story about Dimi's photostream. That was great! I enjoyed looking at the pictures of other classmates. I think they were definitely more creative than me when it came to taking picts! I just posted some class pictures of my kinders! I saw some really beautiful pictures!
I liked writing the story of Dimi's pictures because she had so many beautiful picts to chose from!

Google Earth

Boy, I really struggled with Google Earth! I think it is an awesome website to show
students what space, the oceans and the earth, but for some reason I could not figure
out how to manuever the site and to save it! I think I managed to save it--I hope.
Posting on TeacherTube was easier!:0)

I made a wordle today! It was a neat way to show off words describing me.
I wasn't sure if I should save it on the wordle website or not. I definitely want
to try it with my kinders! :)

sharing social networking

I am really interested in the social networking sites and want to share
them with my cohorts at school. Every Tuesday at our staff meetings
we have "techie Tuesday" where a staff member may share something
that we have learned regarding technology. I am going to talk to
Lori to see if I can share the Delicious or Diigo sites. If we
can get together as a staff and start sharing sites, that would
be really interesting and fun! I'll report back after I share!

All the new rage are kindles. I have never seen one up close and personal yet.
I looked them up online and noticed they are quite expensive--around 200 dollars.
I can see that college students would want to get one and download textbooks on
it--if they can? For right now, I prefer reading my old standby of paperbacks
and visiting the library for free. I wonder if this is the new fad and would it
disappear in a few years or would it evolve into something really useful?

I have been thinking a lot about blogs recently (since I had to make one!)
I went on Google to search blogs. I typed in "blog" and went to the Wikipedia
info. page. I couldn't believe what I was reading! There's business blogs-which
I'm not surprised, but the following I never even had heard of: club blogs,
travelogs, niche blogs, blawgs, mom blogs, vlogs, linklogs, photoblogs, tumbletogs, Phlog, moblog, and of course, blogosphere. I know these terminologies are just scratching the surface, but, wow! I never knew such info. existed!

Wendy's Blog--Learning Through Technology

I am so happy that I signed up for the iknow class! Before, I considered myself
ok using technology. I have now learned about Wikki pages and blogs!
Hurray! I told a co-worker about making a Wikki page and she said, "Like
the Wikki sticks that are made of wax and string?" I just had to laugh.
We primary school teachers all think alike!:)
I wonder what I will learn next after making this blog?? I will visit again....
